Raiders' Ian Scott Nominated for Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week

Prince Albert, SK - The Western Hockey League announced on Monday that Prince Albert Raiders' netminder Ian Scott has been nominated by the WHL for the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week.

Scott, a native of Calgary, AB dressed in two games for the Raiders last week and collected a 2-0-0-0 record with a 0.60 goals-against average and a 0.980 save percentage. On Friday night, Scott took over in goal during the second period and stopped 17 of 18 chances as Prince Albert came back to beat the Spokane Chiefs 7-4. In the Raiders' last minute 1-0 win over the Kootenay Ice on Saturday night, the rookie puck stopper earned his first WHL shutout with a 33-save performance.

In six games with the Raiders this season, Scott holds a 4-1-0-0 record with a goals-against average of 2.91, a save percentage of 0.902 and one shutout.

On Monday, Hockey Canada also announced that Scott would represent Canada on Team White at the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John, British Columbia from October 30 to November 7.
