Brandon Wheat Kings News Release

Brandon, MB. - Fresh off Saturday's 4-1 victory over the Blades in Saskatoon, the Brandon Wheat Kings have announced that defenceman Dominic Thom has been reassigned to the Calgary Mustangs of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

The move comes one day after the WHL club announced the signing of former Steinbach Piston blueliner James Shearer.

A 19-year old native of Calgary, Thom had one minor penalty and had been held without a point in four games with the Wheat Kings this season.

With today's move, the Wheat Kings have 24 players on their roster, including seven defenceman.

Brandon's longest road trip of the 2015-16 season continues Wednesday night with a game against the Chiefs in Spokane. The Wheat Kings are currently 6-1-0-2 on the season.
