Rocky Mountain Rage News Release
Broomfield, Colo. - Tickets are becoming scarce for tomorrow's Central Hockey League showdown between the Rocky Mountain Rage and Colorado Eagles at the 5,917-seat Broomfield Event Center. It is the last opportunity to see the Rage play in-state rival Colorado Eagles at the Broomfield Event Center this season.
Traffic Advisory: Due to an expected increase in traffic for tomorrow's game, the Rage and Broomfield Sports and Entertainment urges fans to arrive early for the 7:05 p.m. game-time.
"We do not anticipate parking issues, but we want to be prepared in any event. Somewhere between 500 and 800 more spaces will have been added across the street from the covered parking garage by noon tomorrow," said Sgt. Mark Godell, Broomfield Police Department. "In the event that we go into an overflow situation however, visitors need to be aware that we will begin parking cars along the streets, regardless of parking passes."
Alternate parking options: Gordon Biersch Restaurant and Brewery located at FlatIrons Mall will be hosting the official Rocky Mountain Rage post-game party. Rage players and staff will be in attendance. Fans can enjoy a $1 beer at Gordon Biersch tomorrow by showing their ticket stub from the game. Fans can feel free to park at FlatIrons and take the free Zip Shuttle to and from the Broomfield Event Center. See http://www.zipshuttle.com/ for a departure schedule.
Special Givaways: In addition to the hard-fought action on the ice, emotions will run high when the arena doors open tomorrow and the J. Albrecht Fine Jewelry Diamond Dash gets underway. The first 1,000 women in attendance will receive a cubic zirconia, but one of the gems handed out will be a REAL ½ CARAT DIAMOND valued at $2,500.
2,500 fans will also receive a Rage sunglasses holder upon exiting the arena tomorrow night courtesy of Insight Lasik.
Although 5,500 tickets have already been sold for this clash between the two Front Range rivals, there are still good seats available for the 7:05 p.m. start. Tickets may be purchased online at www.BroomfieldEventCenter.com, by calling 303-410-TIXS, or at Broomfield Event Center's box office.
Tonight the Rage are in Rio Rancho, N.M., where they will take-on the Southwest Division-leading New Mexico Scorpions. The puck drops at 7:35 p.m., and all of the live play-by-play action can be heard on KLZ 560 AM beginning at 7:20 p.m. with the pre-game show.
Individual tickets for all Rage home games are on sale with prices ranging from $9-$40 per seat. Group plans are also available for the 2006-07 season by calling 303-439-RAGE. For more information, visit www.RockyMountainRage.com.
