Just 91 seconds into the game Sundogs' goalie Chris King misplayed the puck and Bucks forward Jeff Bes capitalized with his 13th goal of the year. Arizona tied it when Kelly swatted in a rebound of his own shot at 4:56. Late in the period the Bucks went on a double minor power play opportunity, but it was the Sundogs who took the lead. Forward Corey Stillman blocked a shot from the point, then chased down the puck and scored with a low wrist shot stick side on a breakaway at 17:04.
Laredo tied the game early in the second period as rookie forward Chris Korchinski scored on a wrist shot from the left circle at 3:48. It was his 19th of the season. Just 21 seconds after the Bucks had evened it up Arizona retook the lead as forward David Svagrovsky scored on a slap shot from the high slot. Later in the period Kelly added his second of the game on a rocket wrister from the top of the right circle at 9:38 to make it 4-2 Sundogs.
The Bucks had some chances in the third period, but were unable to crack thru. Kelly finished the scoring with an empty net goal at 19:47 to complete the hat trick and register his 33rd of the season. FINAL SCORE Arizona 5, Laredo 2.
Kevin Reiter started and went 29:38, allowing four goals on 19 shots and fell to 8-4-1. Eric Marvin played the last 29:30 and stopped all 11 shots he faced, but did not factor in the decision.
