Mequon, Wis- The Rafters look to get back above .500 as they begin a three game road trip at Kapco Park today. The Rafters recently split a series with the Chinooks in Mequon on June 15th and 16th. The Rafters come into the game today at fourth place in the South Division.

Last night against the Bombers, the Rafters scored a pair of runs in the first and ninth innings, but came up empty in-between in a 7-4 loss at Witter Field. Jake Sandlin (Georgia College) and Brock Carpenter (Seattle) stayed hot at the plate, picking up a pair of hits each. Carpenter is now hitting .500 in his first five games as a Rafter, at one point reaching base in eight consecutive at-bats. Justin Kelly (UC Santa Barbara) also looked strong in his debut for Wisconsin Rapids, going four innings and not allowing a run.

James Davitt (Bryant) gets the start on the mound today for the game against the Chinooks. Last time Davitt was on the hill for the Rafters, he threw 6.1 innings of no-hit baseball against the Kalamazoo Growlers. On the season, Davitt is 2-1 with a 1.14 ERA.

Wisconsin Rapids hits the road for the next three games, starting with a pair at Lakeshore in Mequon, Wis., against the Chinooks today and tomorrow, followed by a home-and-home series against the Mallards that will start in Madison, Wis. on June 23.
