Wisconsin Rapids, WI - The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters put up a season high 13 runs in a 13-4 route of the Battle Creek Bombers Saturday night.

Dan Tyson had a rough start on the mound for Battle Creek. He gave up eight earned runs in 2.1 innings, as the Rafters showed off their power all over the field. Home runs from Josh Cyr and Kenny Towns busted the game open for the Rafters early.

In the top of the 4th inning, the Bombers were able to cut the lead in half with four runs against Cole Webb. Jeremy Shay doubled in two runs, Sujka singled in another, and the final run came in on a sacrifice fly by AJ Spanel. Unfortunately for the Bombers, those were the only runs they would get all night.

The Rafters continued to add to their lead however, scoring sporadically in the 4th, 7th, and 8th innings against Battle Creek's relief pitchers. With the loss, the Bombers are now 0-6 when trying to win their 3rd consecutive game. In these six games, they have given up a total of 59 runs.

The final road trip of the season continues tomorrow in Green Bay. Game one of the series is an afternoon game, a 2:05 ET start time. Cole Swanson gets the start for Battle Creek.

The Battle Creek Bombers are members of the prestigious Northwoods League that has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other summer collegiate baseball league in North America.
