
Radue Starts for Bullfrogs Tonight in Mequon

Green Bay, Wis.- The Green Bay Bullfrogs will look for a split in Mequon tonight after the Lakeshore Chinooks took Game 1 by a score of 5-2 last night at Kapco Park.
Following a scoreless first four innings, the Chinooks rallied for three runs in the bottom of the fifth. With two outs, Kyle Wood connected on a triple to score David Edson and Drake Parker. Wood scored during the next at bat on a wild pitch to give Lakeshore a 3-0 lead.
The Bullfrogs got on the board in the eighth with a RBI double for Ty Blankmeyer to score Jack Strunc, but the Chinooks came right back with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning, thanks to a run-scoring triple for Lucas Raley and a sacrifice fly for Colby Fitch.
Green Bay added a run in the top of the ninth to make it a 5-2 deficit when Danny Rosenbaum doubled to score Matthew De La Rosa.
Bullfrogs' starter Sam Brunner picked up the loss in four innings pitched. He allowed two runs on two hits and five walks with three strikeouts.
Brian Keller was impressive for the Chinooks. He threw 7 2/3 innings, allowed no runs, one hit and a walk with five strikeouts in the win.
Ryan Radue starts for the Bullfrogs tonight. He comes in with a 1-0 record with a 3.08 earned run average. Radue's last outing came on June 13 against the Madison Mallards when he allowed one run in four innings in a no decision of an 8-1 Bullfrogs' victory.
Radue has faced the Chinooks' lineup this season in his first start on May 30, as he earned the win in a 12-7 game. He allowed two runs in five innings of work. Green Bay has won in all three of his starts this season.
Lakeshore will roll out Luke Bachar, who will enter tonight's game with a 2-0 record and a 1.80 earned run average in four season starts. Bachar beat the Bullfrogs on May 31 with one run allowed in six innings.
Following tonight's game in Mequon, the Bullfrogs will return home on June 21 to play the first-place Kenosha Kingfish with a variety of promotional items.
Sunday's game will feature a Brew Pub Pizza baseball giveaway as well as Faith and Family Day. Kids can run the bases following the game and receive a coupon for a small fry from Arby's. Fans can also play catch on the field for Father's Day
Sunday's game will mark the beginning of a seven games in six days stretch at Joannes Stadium. Game time is 1:05 p.m., and gates will open one hour prior to the first pitch.
