Reading Royals News Release
Sinking Spring, PA - The Reading Royals cordially invite you to join us tomorrow night (Tuesday, March 15, 2016) from 6 - 7 pm at Jimmy G's Railroad House Sports Bar and Restaurant (152 Woodrow Avenue, Sinking Spring, PA; 610-678-1177) for Radio Recon, the Royals' weekly radio show.
We pretty much knew that when defenseman Todd Perry re-joined the Royals this season after several years of wandering the hockey tundra of Central Asia we were getting a big, strong, consistent performer on the back end. Little did we know that we were also getting a flat sniper from the slot...but there it was on Friday in Manchester: a deft move down the middle and a bar-down bullet that blew by the Monarch goaltender to give Reading a two-goal cushion mid-way into the second. And yeah, Todd knows how handle the periodic dust-up, too...and our recommendation in that regard: tread lightly on this Ides of March, you don't want to wake the sleeping bear. Another guy who can handle the occasional dust-up?...Assistant Coach Kirk MacDonald. We'll try not to ruffle his feathers, either, as we talk about the Royals' run towards the final ten games of the regular season.
As always, we welcome any and all comments and questions from the fans at Radio Recon. We might also come up with a little crazy trivia and giveaways for those who participate in the show. Royals Radio Recon will be broadcast live on the Royals Broadcast Network (CBS Sports Radio 1240 am and 98.5 fm in Reading).
