Ottawa Champions News Release
OTTAWA - Lazaro Blanco and the bullpen combined to allow just two runs and seven hits as Quebec sealed the series win. They improve their record to a league leading 13-7.
Steve Borkowski struggled through five innings as he allowed five runs, all earned, walked five and struck out three.
After picking up his 100th career hit with the Champions last night, Steve Nyisztor collected his second home run of the season in the loss. Kyle Zirbes and Mike Blanke finished with 2 hits each for Ottawa. Zirbes drove in a run in the bottom of the ninth but it was too little too late.
Next up, Ottawa will take on the Salina Stockade in a three game series starting tomorrow night and then they'll be back at it with Quebec on the road.
