New Jersey 8, Sussex County 2 (Game 1)

In game one of a day-night doubleheader, the New Jersey Jackals tallied six big runs in the ninth inning to break a 2-2 tie and defeat Sussex County, 8-2. The Jackals collected 12 hits as a team and was led by CF David Harriswho went 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI. New Jersey leadoff hitter Connor Hofmann had two hits in four at-bats and plated three runs while C Andy Mocahbee had a hit, a run and two RBI.

Jackals starting pitcher Dylan Brammer tossed eight solid innings en route to picking-up the win. Brammer gave up two earned runs on three hits and struck out six batters in the 120-pitch performance. The 28-year-old is now 3-1 on the season.

For the Miners in the loss, CF Jayce Ray hit a first inning solo home run.
