Rancho Cucamonga, CA - The Inland Empire 66ers completed a three-game sweep over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Friday night, scoring the game's final nine runs in a 9-2 victory at The Epicenter.

Inland Empire starter Andrew Smith (1-0) earned the win in his Cal League debut, while Taylor Lindsey and Caleb Kowart each drove in three to lead the Sixers' offense.

Quakes' starter Brandon Martinez was spotted an early lead, as Joc Pederson doubled with one out in the first, then scored on Pedro Baez's RBI double, making it 1-0. Pederson singled to open the third and later scored on a Steve Domecus double, putting the Quakes in front at 2-0.

Inland Empire started to put the pressure on Rancho in the fourth, as Martinez (2-2) gave up an unearned run, with Rolando Gomez knocking in a run to make it 2-1. The 66ers capitalized on additional Quakes' mistakes in the fifth, plating three more to take the lead for good at 4-2.

Steve Smith allowed a run in the seventh and Ryan Acosta surrendered four over the final two innings, as Inland Empire put it away.
