Albuquerque Isotopes News Release
Sacramento, CA - Carlos Pérez and D.J. Peterson combined for all five RBI while Antonio Senzatela tossed 5.0 innings of one run ball to take game one over Sacramento, 5-2, Tuesday night at Sutter Health Park.
Offensively, the Isotopes seven hits, one double and one home run. Pérez went 2-for-3 with two RBI, a walk and a solo homer. Peterson, meanwhile, registered a double and three RBI. Alan Trejo also recorded a two-hit night.
Senazatela's second rehab assignment with Albuquerque earned him a win after allowing just four hits and one walk over 5.0 innings.
The Isotopes plated their first run in the third at-bat of the game when Pérez blasted his team-leading 18th homer, a solo shot.
Albuquerque's lead grew to 4-0 in the fourth on Peterson's bases-clearing double to right. The River Cats got one back in the home half of the inning on a Jason Vosler solo home run.
However, the Isotopes pushed the lead to 5-1 on a Pérez two-out RBI single in the top of the fifth frame. The River Cats scored their final run in the seventh frame on a Donovan Walton RBI single.
Topes Scope: - The Isotopes won the opening game of an away series for the first time since a 5-4 triumph over Oklahoma City on May 3 (5-4). Overall, the team is 5-10 in series opening contests and 2-6 on the road.
