Salt Lake Falls to Las Vegas Night 1

The Salt Lake Bees got their road trip off on the wrong foot with a 10-4 loss to the Las Vegas Aviators on Tuesday night. The Bees took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on a solo homer by Jose Rojas and an RBI single by Dillon Thomas, as Jo Adell scored from first. Las Vegas answered with three runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead, but Salt Lake tied the game in the third on an RBI double by Adell. Las Vegas took control of the game, as they broke the tie with five runs in the fourth with three home runs off Bees reliever Ryan Smith (0-6).

Adell and Thomas led the Bees eleven hit attack, as they each delivered two hits and one run batted in. Jake Palomaki singled in the seventh inning to extend his hitting streak to eight games. In the first game of his injury rehab assignment, Angels infielder David Fletcher went 0 for 2, while playing just four innings.
