ANAHEIM, Calif. - After being assigned by the Boston Celtics on Friday and arriving in Utah just in time to make the team flight to Anaheim, Gabe Pruitt scored 31 points, including the game-winning bucket with 3.9 second to go, to lead the Utah Flash to a 110-109 victory over Anaheim in the first game in Flash franchise history Saturday at the Anaheim Convention Center.

"I came here to play, but I'm already a little sore because it's been a while since I've been up and down like that," said Pruitt, who played 37 minutes in his Flash debut. "I was feeling that last one (game-winner) though. They had been gambling all night and they did it again and gave me the shot I wanted."

The Flash is 1-0 and wraps up a two-game road swing to Southern California by visiting the Los Angeles D-Fenders at the STAPLES Center on Sunday. Anaheim dropped to 0-2 and is host to Rio Grande Valley on Wednesday.

Both teams let double-digit leads get away at different points in the game. The Flash erased an 18-point first-half deficit and then the Arsenal came back from 13 down in the fourth quarter to take a 109-107 lead with 49 seconds left.

"What a wild game. We didn't come out with any energy and I was disappointed with that," Flash head coach Brad Jones said. "Still, we fought back and that's what this league is about, learning to put a team away.

"What can you say about Gabe? Not only did he score 31, but he had eight assists and only two turnovers," Jones said. "He has been nothing but a pro since he got here and he showed tonight what kind of player he can be."

The Flash had six players score in double figures. James Lang had 16 and nine rebounds off the bench to follow Pruitt. Brandon Wallace, also on assignment from Boston, followed with 14, while Brian Jackson had 13, Kevin Kruger 12 and Utah Jazz assignee Kyrylo Fesenko 11. It was Kruger's steal that led to Pruitt's game winner.

Guillermo Diaz had 29 points for Anaheim to lead all scorers. Steven Smith had 20 off the bench. Noel Felix chipped in 17 and Kedrick Brown 15.
