DURHAM, NC - Durham Bulls (23-32) starting pitcher Austin Pruitt combined with two relievers to blank the Gwinnett Braves (25-29) 3-0 Thursday night in the opening game of the four-game series at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Pruitt (W, 4-3) went 7.0 innings allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out seven. He's now 3-0 on the season against the G-Braves and 1-3 against the rest of the International League. Neil Wagner (H, 2) replaced Pruitt to begin the eighth inning and allowed just one single before Steve Geltz (S, 1) set the G-Braves down in order in the ninth to cap the shutout.

Jaff Decker victimized Gwinnett starter Casey Kelly (L, 2-2) with a pair of solo home runs, leading off the second and fourth innings. In the second, Jake Goebbert doubled the Bulls' lead on a two-out RBI double to right-center, scoring Kyle Roller.

Kelly posted another quality start for the G-Braves, allowing three runs on six hits in 7.0 innings, while not walking a batter and striking out one. Lucas Harrell completed a perfect eighth inning in relief, registering a strikeout for Gwinnett.

Sean Kazmar Jr. (1-for-3), Blake Lalli (1-for-3) and Jace Peterson (1-for-4) collected the G-Braves' hits and Emilio Bonifacio swiped his 17th base of the season, tying him with Syracuse's Trea Turner for the International League-lead.

Decker was 2-for-3 for with the two solo home runs to pace Durham's offensive attack.

The G-Braves and Bulls continue the four-game series Friday night at 7:05 p.m. in Durham. Gwinnett will have left-hander Manny Banuelos (0-0, 2.45) on the mound for his second start with the club this season against fellow southpaw Adam Wilk (1-6, 3.22). Tony Schiavone has the call of the action beginning at 6:35 p.m. on 97.7 FM.
