
Prout named captain for All-Star Game

DENVER - Colorado Mammoth forward Gavin Prout has been named the West Division team captain for the 2007 National Lacrosse League All-Star Game.
Prout, in his fourth season with the Mammoth and second as the team's captain, will lead the West All-Stars against the East Division All-Stars on March 10 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore.
Prout is making his fifth All-Star Game appearance and first as a captain. He served as an assistant captain for the West Division at last year's game in Toronto.
Calgary Roughnecks forward Tracey Kelusky and Arizona Sting defenseman Peter Lough will serve as assistant captains for the West. John Tavares of the Buffalo Bandits will serve as captain for the East Division All-Stars with Chicago Shamrox defenseman Cam Woods and Rochester Knighthawks forward Shawn Williams serving as assistant captains.
The All-Star Game head coaches and assistant coaches selected the captains for their respective clubs.
The All-Star Game will air on Versus on March 11 at 12:30 p.m. Mountain time.
