DENVER - Two Colorado Mammoth players were named to the Dodge All-Pro teams by the National Lacrosse League on Wednesday.

Captain Gavin Prout earned a place on the All-Pro first team for the first time in his career. A second-team selection in 2002 and 2004, Prout earned first-team honors this season after ranking second in the league with 64 assists, setting the Mammoth's single-season record. He also led the Mammoth and set a career-high with 93 points and tied for the team lead with 29 goals.

Defenseman Jay Jalbert was named second-team All-Pro, earning his first All-Pro distinction. Jalbert led all NLL defensemen and set a career-high with 19 goals and also set personal bests with 29 assists and 48 points. He led the Mammoth and ranked fourth in the league with 152 loose balls this season.

Both players represented the West Division at the 2006 NLL All-Star Game.

"It's very nice to see both of these guys rewarded because they had tremendous seasons," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "Gavin is simply one of the game's best. He was our leader all year long and someone we relied upon heavily. Jay is such a talented player and it was very exciting to see him take his game to a new level."
