Minnesota Swarm Goaltender Nick Patterson Named to Dodge NLL Second All-Pro Team

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced that Minnesota Swarm goaltender Nick Patterson was named to the Dodge NLL Second All-Pro Team.

Patterson, 23 (12/8/82), posted a 6-2 record, including a 4-2 road mark and helped lead the Swarm to its first-ever postseason appearance in the franchise's second NLL campaign. He ranked third in the NLL with a .790 save percentage and fourth with a 10.40 goals against average (GAA). The Victoria, British Columbia-native added five assists and nine loose balls in 11 games with Minnesota this year and set career-highs in wins, save percentage and GAA. Patterson collected three weekly league awards and was also named the February Player of the Month.

The award winners are chosen by a vote of the leagues coaches, general managers, and executives.

The league will conclude its announcements of award winners tomorrow by announcing the winner of the Jet Blue Most Valuable Player Award for the 2006 season. The 2006 RBK NLL Championship Game presented by Edge Active Care takes place this weekend. The Buffalo Bandits host the Colorado Mammoth in the championship game on Saturday, May 13 at 5:00 PM. The contest will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
