Prince George Cougars News Release

Prince George, BC - The Prince George Cougars and Coastal GasLink are extremely excited to present fans with "Community Heroes Night" on Saturday, November 12th versus the Vancouver Giants at 6:00pm. Frontline workers and community heroes will be honoured and celebrated throughout the evening. Workers and services being celebrated will include firefighters, healthcare workers, RCMP, first responders, search and rescue, hospice society, and teachers.

"Year after year, Coastal GasLink has been a fantastic partner in recognizing the tireless efforts of workers in Northern BC," said Taylor Dakers, Director of Business for the Cougars. "The Prince George Cougars are proud to have them as a partner and sponsor in this evening's events. This is going to be an amazing night with incredible people and incredible hockey."

"The success we've had to date constructing this monumental project has been largely thanks to the collaboration and support from our local communities, frontline workers and community heroes," said Kiel Giddens, Project Director of Public Affairs, Coastal GasLink. "We're proud to stand together with the Prince George Cougars, and members of our community to honour and celebrate the immense impact these heroes have made in our community. Let's go Cougars!"

The Cougars would also like to announce that an anonymous donor has, astonishingly, purchased 2,000 tickets to be donated to first responders and community heroes to attend the 6:00pm game Saturday, November 12th versus the Vancouver Giants. The same donor has purchased an additional 2000 tickets for the same groups to attend the Cougars' MEGA 50/50 Jackpot game versus the Giants on the following day, Sunday, November 13th at 2:00 PM! The Cougars would like to thank this donor for this absolutely incredible gesture. These 4000 donated tickets should make for a very fun atmosphere in the CN Center all weekend long.
