Bobcat Joins Wheat Kings as First Ever Helmet Sponsor
November 1, 2022 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Brandon Wheat Kings News Release
Brandon, MB. - The Brandon Wheat Kings are pleased to announce Bobcat as the first ever helmet sponsor in the 56-year history of the Western Hockey League franchise.
Brandon's reputation as a Manitoba hotbed for both the agriculture and construction industries makes Bobcat, a leader in the global compact equipment industry, the perfect partner to adorn the Wheat Kings helmets.
"The Wheat Kings and Bobcat are two of the top brands in our respective industries," said Bobcat of Brandon's Jordan Trotter. "The opportunity to bring us together in such a unique and powerful way was one we simply could not pass up."
In addition to the high levels of exposure at Wheat Kings home games, the sponsorship will also put Bobcat in a premium position during road games in other Western Canadian agricultural communities including Regina and Swift Current in Saskatchewan and Red Deer and Lethbridge in Alberta among others.
"It's rare for sports teams to offer premium branding opportunities that extend beyond the reach of the home arena and local media market," said Wheat Kings Director of Sponsorship Mike Filipchuk. "We couldn't be happier that Bobcat jumped on this special helmet sponsorship opportunity."
The black version of the new helmets, featuring prominent white Bobcat logos will be on display three times this week when the Wheat Kings take the ice at Westoba Place against the Everett Silvertips (Wednesday, November 2nd), Tri-City Americans (Friday, November 4th), and Saskatoon Blades (Saturday, November 5th) . Tickets for these and all other Wheat Kings home games can be purchased at Wheatkings.com or Ticketmaster.ca.
