
Prince Albert splits weekend road swing

Moose Jaw, SK - Jayden Halbgewachs scored twice and finished with three points as the Moose Jaw Warriors knocked off the Prince Albert Raiders 5-3 at Mosaic Place.
It was a special teams battle between the Raiders and Warriors on Saturday night. After opening the scoring with a shorthanded goal, Moose Jaw went on to collect a pair of power play tallies. Prince Albert would also score twice on the power play, but could not overcome a two-goal deficit in the third period.
Jordan Tkatch lead the Raiders offensively with a goal and an assist for two points. Loch Morrison and Jesse Lees also scored for Prince Albert. 15-year-old call up Cole Fonstad recorded his first WHL point on the goal by Morrison.
The Warriors got three-point efforts from Halbgewachs (2g-1a) and Tanner Jeannot (3a). Brett Howden (2g), Brayden Point (1g-1a), and Josh Thrower (2a) each had two points.
Raiders' goaltender Rylan Parenteau stopped 33 of 37 shots on goal, while Zach Sawchenko made 25 saves on 28 attempts in the Warriors' net.
The Warriors outshot the Raiders 38-28. Prince Albert and Moose Jaw both went 2-for-4 on the power play.
The Raiders slip to 34-21-7-1, while the Warriors move within four points of second place with a record of 32-22-7-1.
