Vancouver, B.C. - Radovan Bondra scored twice, but the Vancouver Giants lost 4-3 to the Kelowna Rockets on Friday night at the Pacific Coliseum. Trevor Cox also scored for Vancouver while Ryan Kubic stopped 26 of 30 shots in the Giants' crease.

Tyson Baillie opened the scoring for the visitors on a 5-on-3 power play in the first period, firing a one-timer past Kubic from the left circle for his 300th career point. Cox tied the game for Vancouver before the end of the first 20 minutes, wiring a wrist shot off the post and into the net from the left circle after a pretty cross-ice feed from Alec Baer.

Bondra put Vancouver ahead with a hard shot from off the left wing just before the midway mark of the second period, but Jordan Borstmayer tied the game at 2-2 just 17 seconds later. Rourke Chartier put the Rockets in front, beating Kubic on a rebound, and Justin Kirkland added another marker before the end of the frame to put Kelowna ahead 4-2.

Bondra pulled the Giants back to within one goal when he knocked a puck past Kelowna goaltender Brodan Salmond from the top of the crease on a power play, but the G-Men couldn't find an equalizer.

Vancouver returns to action tomorrow night when they visit the Kamloops Blazers. Face-off is set for 7:00pm from the Sandman Centre.
