Pride acquire infielder

(Nashua, N.H., July 31, 2008) Nashua Pride officials have announced the team has acquired infielder Dorian Rojas from the Joliet Jackhammers of the independent Northern League in a trade for future considerations.

Rojas, a native of Hyde Park, Massachusetts, saw his first action with the Pride last night against the Brockton Rox in his first game of availability for Nashua, and went 1-for-4 with a wall-ball double and a runs scored.

Rojas comes to the Pride having played in 41 games for the Jackhammers, accumulating a .267 batting average with 10 doubles, a triple, 2 home runs, and 18 RBI. In 2007, Rojas played with the independent Macon Music of the South Coast League and batted .306 with 31 doubles, 13 homes runs, and 63 RBI in 87 games.
