Orlando City SC News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando City SC (3-3-2, 11 points) heads back on the road after earning a 1-0 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps at Orlando City Stadium last time out. They will take on New York City FC (2-1-5, 11 points) on Saturday, April 27. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET at Yankee Stadium.
The match will be locally televised on My65 and available on ESPN+ and YouTube TV. It will be transmitted on FM 96.9 The Game in English and La Nueva 990am in Spanish.
"The biggest thing for us going into this game against New York is trying to get the level of performance that we've all believed we've had," Head Coach James O'Connor said. "For the most part we've been really pleased with performances, some results haven't gone the way we've wanted, but for us to maintain the level of performance for us to get the result we want is really important."
City goes back on the road after yet another game-winning goal performance from Nani. A low cross from the ever-dangerous Ruan perfectly picked out Sacha Kljestan, who's deflected shot struck Nani and into the back of the net to give City their second consecutive victory at home.
Nani's goal marks his fourth of the campaign, making him the team's leading scorer and assist man.
New York City FC will likely be full of confidence coming off of their first two wins of the season in the past week. NYCFC earned a road victory against Eastern Conference leaders D.C. United this past Sunday, and recorded a mid-week home win against Chicago Fire on Wednesday.
The meeting between the two clubs will be their second, and last, of the season. The two faced off in the season opener for both clubs, with Orlando City fighting back from a 2-0 deficit to come back and share the points at 2-2.
