Preliminary Round Matchups Revealed for NC Courage in the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup

Cary, NC - The schedule of the preliminary round of the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup presented by P&G and Secret was released today, following the Draw Show on CBS Sports HQ. The North Carolina Courage were selected to fill the 5th slot in the draw, pairing them against the Portland Thorns on June 27, the opening day of the tournament. The tournament was announced by the NWSL last week and will be held in Utah.

Following the opening day match, the NC Courage will play against the Houston Dash on July 1, the Orlando Pride on July 5, and the Utah Royals on July 12. Kickoff times will be announced at a later date along with broadcast details for each match.

The top eight teams during the preliminary round will advance to the quarterfinals, which will be played in a knockout format. The Championship presented by Budweiser is scheduled for July 26.
