Coming off a four-game home stand where they won three of four, the Bloomington PrairieThunder (13-7-1) play four games this coming holiday week. Tuesday night, the team makes their first visit to the Memphis, Tennessee suburb of Southaven, Mississippi where they'll play the Memphis RiverKings. Then it's the battle of the team buses as both teams head up Interstate 55 to Bloomington for a return match on Wednesday night. Following the Christmas break, Bloomington will host the Evansville IceMen on Sunday afternoon before wrapping up the holiday weekend in Quad City on Monday evening. Bloomington starts the week tied for fourth in the CHL's Turner (Northern) Conference with 27 points, five points behind first place Colorado.

This past weekend, the PrairieThunder split a pair of home games. Friday night, Bloomington fell to the Dayton Gems 4-0 before defeating the Wichita Thunder 5-4 on Saturday night.

The first ever meeting between Bloomington and the Mississippi based RiverKings. The RiverKings play in the Memphis suburb of Southaven, Mississippi in the 7000 seat DeSoto Civic Center which opened the fall of 2000. The RiverKings played their first eight seasons in the Central Hockey League in mid-town Memphis before heading over the border to DeSoto County, Mississippi. The RiverKings are 12-12-1 in the CHL's Berry (Southern) Conference and are 1-1 under new Head Coach Paul Gardner. Veteran Chris Richards leads the 'Kings in scoring with 9 goals and 18 assists (27 points).

The third meeting of the year with Evansville. The PrairieThunder lead the season series 2-0, winning at home 4-2 back on October 29th and winning 3-2 in overtime in Indiana on December 4th. The IceMen are currently in eighth place in the Turner Conference with a record of 9-13-3. Nicklas Lindberg leads Evansville in scoring with 28 points (8 goals and 20 assists).

Monday, December 27th: AT Quad City Mallards: 7:05pm

It's the fifth meeting of the year against Quad City. The season series is currently tied 2-2. Bloomington won the last game 4-1 on December 11th. The Mallards begin the week in sixth place in the Turner Conference at 13-11-0.

The PrairieThunder made a pair of roster moves on Monday morning before departing for Memphis. Defenseman David Brown was placed on the ten-day injured reserve with an upper body injury suffered in last Saturday night's home game against Wichita.....Joining the team is rookie forward Brodie Sheahan. Sheahan, 24, played four years of college hockey at Holy Cross College where he was a teammate of defenseman Bill Pinel. The 5'-11", 170 lbs native of Lethbridge, Alberta tallied 91 points (40 goals and 51 assists) during his four year college career.....Jason Dale, with 7 goals and 12 assists, continues to lead the team in scoring with 19 points.....Forwards John Snowden and Bill Bagron are tied for second in scoring with 17 points each.....Snowden leads the team in goals with 9 while Dale and Bagron are tied for the most assists with 12 each.....Defenseman Alan Mazur has 11 assists.....Bill Bagron continues to lead the team in plus / minus with a +10 rating.
