Bridwell: Surrendered 4 R on 7 H over 4.2 IP with 4 K and 4 BB in 6/26 L vs. HAG (9-3 Suns)

POWER REPLAY: West Virginia outlasted Delmarva 15-10 on Sunday. The Power amassed 21 hits including 11 of the extra base variety, to overcome an early 5-2 deficit. Gregory Polanco went five for five with three doubles and a triple, while Willy Garcia hit his 10th home run of the season and drove in five. Chris Lashmet, Alen Hanson, and Elias Diaz also went yard as the Power earned a win for Zac Fuesser. The south paw pitched three and a third innings of shutout relief behind Zack Dodson, the West Virginia starter knocked from the game in the second. Nine of the ten players who had at least one at bat reached on a base hit and six had multi-hit games.

APPALACHIAN POWER PARK UPDATE: Despite recent storms in the Charleston area, Appalachian Power Park is at full power and received little damage due to high winds on Friday night. The homestand that begins on July 4 will start as scheduled.

ALL-TIMER: The Power's 21 hits in Sunday's win were the most by a West Virginia team in any single game since June 8, 2009. The franchise record for hits in a game is 25, set on Jun e12, 2007 at Hickory in a 24-13 victory.

MOTORIN': Alen Hanson's hitting streak is at 12 games after going 3-6 last night with his team best 13th home run. He is batting .435 over his last dozen games with two home runs and seven runs batted in.

5 FOR 5: Gregory Polanco became the first Power player in over three years to have five hits in a single game for West Virginia. Polanco reached base on a single, three doubles, a triple, and added a walk for good measure on Sunday in a 15-10 Power victory. The last West Virginia player to reach base on five hits in a game was Robbie Grossman on June 18, 2009, at Hickory.

DRIVE 'EM IN: Willy Garcia had one hit in the offense show yesterday, but managed to drive in five runs. The Power outfielder drove in runs on ground outs in the third and fifth innings and hit a three run home run in the eighth inning. Matt Curry was the last player to drive in five in a game (May 8, 2011 at Augusta).

FOUR SCORE: Ashley Ponce's four run Sunday was the first four run game by a Power player since Tony Sanchez scored four times in a game at Hickory on August 10, 2009. Prior to Sunday, Ponce had scored once in six other games this season with the Power.

SHOWDOWN WITH THE SHOREBIRDS: West Virginia regained control of the all-time series with a win on Sunday. The teams have squared off 97 times since 2005 and the Power now have a 49-48 lead. The clubs will meet 10 more times in the second half of the year.

PROMO CHECK- JULY 4: West Virginia's next BIG 12 promotional night is July 4 at 7:05 pm against Lakewood. The team will host appearances by Dora the Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants, and Foofa from Yo Gabba Gabba. The evening will end with a post game fireworks show.

POWER POINTS: Former Power All-Stars Ramon Cabrera (2010) and Brandon Cumpton (2011) have been selected to participate in the 2012 Eastern League All-Star Game on July 11 at Reading's FirstEnergy Stadium... Prior to Friday's game at Delmarva, the Pittsburgh Pirates promoted Joan Montero (pronounced Joe- AHN) to the West Virginia roster from State College.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh lost 5-4 at St. Louis... Indianapolis edged Louisville 8-3... Altoona beat Binghamton 7-4... Bradenton split a twinbill with Charlotte... State College beat Batavia 1-0 in 10 innings.
