Jhonathan Ramos, sent to West Virginia on Friday was promoted back to Advanced-A Bradenton and was replaced by Eliecer Navarro. Ramos appeared in one game for the Power, tossing five and a third scoreless innings against Greensboro on Friday night after Zack Von Rosenberg allowed seven runs and didn't make it out of the first. Navarro made 16 appearances for West Virginia in 2010, going 1-2 with a 6.12 ERA.
CALL IN THE INFIELD: Kevin Mort became the first Power player in nearly five years to pitch in a game. Each player tossed a scoreless inning. Mort inherited two runner last night in the eighth and both would score. He also allowed a solo home run and holds a 4.50 ERA after two innings pitched.
HOME RUN HISTORY: Rogelio Noris now has 22 career home runs for West Virginia over a season and a half in a Power jersey. Noris has matched Kenny Holmberg's two-year total for second most in club history. Stephen Chapman hit 24 home runs in a Power uniform in 2007, the most in any season for West Virginia, and also the most in any player's Power career.
RAMIFICATIONS: Four Power players will serve three-game suspensions as a result of Monday evening's eighth inning altercation, though the suspensions were staggered as to not entirely deplete the club of players at one time. Elias Diaz and Andy Vasquez completed their suspensions Thursday, while Drew Maggi began his Friday and is eligible play tonight. Brooks Pounders had his suspension pushed back and missed Sunday's game against Greensboro. This suspenion will last through Tuesday and the right-hander will be available in the finale at Lexington on Wednesday
