Poulin Returned to Sound Tigers

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Jan. 16, 2012) - The New York Islanders announced today they have returned goaltender Kevin Poulin on loan to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.

Poulin, 21, returns to the Sound Tigers after his second NHL recall this season. After being recalled on Jan. 8, Poulin served as Evgeni Nabokov's backup in three games and started against the Nashville Predators this afternoon, making 29 saves in a 3-1 loss.

The 6-2, 196-pound goaltender returns to the Sound Tigers where he shows an 11-12-0 record in 23 games this season, and was named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 8 after going 4-0-0 with three shutouts and a .980 save percentage.
