Rockford IceHogs News Release
Rockford, Ill. - After a season-long seven-game road trip, the Rockford IceHogs return home to battle the Texas Stars at the BMO Harris Bank Center today. The puck hits the ice at 1:05 p.m.
The IceHogs finished up the seven game road swing with a record of 3-4-0-0 and host the Stars for the first home game of 2012. The matchup is final meeting between the two clubs and Rockford is 1-2-0-0 against Texas in 2011-12.
The first 1,500 kids into the building will get an IceHogs drawstring bag courtesy of Frito Lay. Fans are encouraged to bring skates to today's game as there will be another post game "Skate with the Hogs" following the conclusion of today's contest.
Tonight's game can be heard on 100.5-FM NTA, 1330-AM WNTA and 1380-AM ESPN beginning at 12:35 p.m. with the U.S. Cellular Pregame Show. The game can be seen live on Comcast channel 57 on or on the web through icehogs.com.

Rockford's penalty kill has also been stellar as the team has killed off 13 straight penalties over a three game stretch. On the season, the Hogs penalty kill ranks last in the league with a 75.8% kill rate.
Next Home Game: Friday, Jan. 20 vs. Chicago Wolves. The puck drop is at 7:05 p.m. It's Ted Dent bobblehead night as Rockford squares off against Chicago for the sixth time this season. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a Ted Dent bobblehead, sponsored by Dental Dimensions. It is also another Illinois Lottery Cup tilt.
For every goal that the Rockford IceHogs score in 2011-12, IceHogs head coach Ted Dent will make a donation to children's cancer research. BMO Harris Bank will also make a donation for every goal to the "BMO Harris Bank Goals For Grades"
