Potomac Nationals 2016 Game Notes vs. Frederick Keys

The Potomac Nationals (29-28) look to level the series with the Frederick Keys (29-30) Friday night at Pfitzner Stadium. The P-Nats have dropped a season high six games in a row and sit a season high eight games out of the division race.

On the mound in the for Potomac will be RHP Boone Whiting (5-2, 3.67). Whiting was placed on the Temporary Inactive List on 6/1 and activated prior to tonight's game. The righty has made two starts vs. the Keys this season and allowed just one earned run total over 12 innings. Opposite Whiting, RHP Matthew Grimes (7-2, 1.08) will go for the Keys. In Grimes' only start vs. Potomac, the righty picked up the loss, as he allowed three runs, two earned, over 5.1 innings. He has not allowed an earned run in his last three starts (22.0 innings).

First pitch at Pfitzner Stadium is set for 7:05pm in Woodbridge, VA.
