SALEM, VA - The Salem Red Sox will host a doubleheader at Lewis-Gale Field on Tuesday, August 31 to make up for Saturday's cancellation of "Futures at Fenway" in Boston. The twin-bill, set to begin at 5:30, will feature two seven-inning games between the Salem Red Sox and the Potomac Nationals to begin what will be the final regular season homestand of the season.

The Red Sox spent Sunday traveling back to the Roanoke Valley and will take the field tonight in Salem for a doubleheader as well. Despite both clubs' disappointment about the rain out at Fenway Park in Boston on Saturday, the two teams will compete in two seven-inning games on Monday at Lewis-Gale Field, beginning at 5:30 as part of a doubleheader due to a separate rainout earlier in the season.

Salem starting pitcher, Brock Huntzinger, was scheduled to start at Fenway.

"I barely slept the night before the game because I was so excited," Huntzinger said on Monday. "Everyone is a little disappointed the game was rained out but hopefully I'll have the chance to pitch in Fenway in the future."

Fans only need to purchase one ticket for both of tonight's games with gates opening at 5 PM. The Red Sox enter the night with a record of 49-37 and will be looking for their 50th win in 2010 in the opener.
