
Pok=E9mon GO Highlighting Next Whitecaps Series

COMSTOCK PARK, MI - There is a little over a month left in the West Michigan Whitecaps regular season and as the team is preparing to defend their 2015 Midwest League title, the promotional calendar has added a championship element to Monday Night's lineup - Pokémon GO Night!
For Monday's 7:00 pm game fans will able take part in several Pokémon GO themed elements throughout the night including:
- Pokémon Gym Battle - Be the top trainer of the gym at end of the 7th inning. The trainer that owns the gym with the highest CP will win a Nintendo DS
- Pokémon Photo Contest - Take a photo of a Pokémon at the ballpark, post it using #wcapsGO, one lucky fan will win a Pokémon prize pack
- Hatch your Egg Walk - Walk around the warning track pre-game to catch Pokémon and get steps to hatch your eggs
- Pokémon Scavenger Hunt - Find actual Pokémon figurines around the ballpark to win a prize
All fans that have downloaded the popular game will be able to get half-off reserve tickets, normally $11.50, by showing the app at the box office the day of the game. Limit 4 per person. Gates for Monday's game open at 6:00 pm.
The rest of the four games series vs. the Lake County Captains (Cleveland Indians affiliate) feature other great promotions.
- Saturday is Super Hero night presented by Western Michigan University and there will be a Family Fare Fireworks show after the game. Saturday is a 7:00 pm game and the gates open at 5:30 pm
- Sunday's 1:00 pm contest is a Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Family Day. The first 1,000 kids 12 and under eat free, families can play catch on the field and participate in a team autograph session pre-game, and kids can run the bases after the game courtesy of Milk Means More. Gates open at noon.
- Tuesday's 7:00 pm series finale is the last Wolverine Building Dime Hot Dog Night of the year! Fans will be able to get hot dogs for a dime starting at 6:00 pm when the gates open.
Tickets for this four game series and all remaining home games can be purchased by visiting whitecapsbaseball.com, by calling the Whitecaps front office at 616-784-4131, or in person at the Fifth Third Ballpark box office (open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday).
