Plenty of Hits But No Runs in Loss for Lookouts
June 9, 2019 - Southern League (SL1)
Chattanooga Lookouts News Release
The Lookouts have one of the best hitting teams in the Southern League but the seven hits on Sunday against the Smokies could not produce a run in the 1-0 loss. The Nooga Nine had three different opportunities to score big or go home and it was the later that happened when they didn't. Smokies meanwhile get their run in the fifth on the Gioskar Amaya single and had only one hit over the next three innings. Narciso Crook highlighted the Lookouts hitting with a 3-4 game. The big hit lacking was just that...no extra base hits on the day in the loss. Monday in game four the Looks send RHP-Tony Santillan (2-2,3.40) to face Smokies RHP-Thomas Hatch (0-5,6.40). Follow the game on MiLB.com and locally at 98.1 The Lake at 6:45 EDT.
