Corpus Christi, TX- In three days thousands will descend upon Jacksonville, FL, for the biggest sporting event of this, or any, year, The Super Bowl. However, the couple hundred or so that show up to the American Bank Center for open tryouts could care less if TO plays or not, or if Tom Brady becomes the "Next Joe Montana" this Sunday in Super Bowl XXXIX. All they want on this day is a chance to live a dream, a chance to play football professionally.
The Corpus Christi Hammerheads would like to remind all of the area athletes that open tryouts will be held for all positions this Sunday, February 6, at the American Bank Center located at 1901 N. Shoreline Blvd. in Downtown Corpus Christi, TX. Registration will start at 8 AM and the tryout will follow at 9 AM. There is still time for early registration at a reduced cost of only $50. You can register by filling out our only form at www.corpuschristihammerheads.com or you can come by the Hammerheads office located at the Sunrise Mall Upper Level Center Court. A registration fee of $60 will be assessed on location at the American Bank Center the day of tryouts.
All those interested are urged to give it a shot, because you miss 100% of the shots you never take. Nine guys who ended up seeing considerable playing time last year where signed in last years open tryouts. So go ahead Corpus Christi, Show us what you're made of...
