LAKE CHARLES, La. - The Southern Indoor Football League has named its Players of The Week for games played June 4-5.
OFFENSE: Anthony Andre, Corpus Christi Hammerheads. Threw for 233 yards and six touchdowns as the Hammerheads clinched a playoff spot by defeating long-time rival Louisiana.
DEFENSE: Damian Daniels, Columbus Lions: Registered four game-changing interceptions as the defending SIFL champions clinched the No. 1 seed in the East with a victory over arch-rival Albany.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Joshua Smith, Richmond Raiders made three field goals and was 4-4 on PATs as Richmond snapped a five-game losing streak with a one-point win over the Carolina Speed.
The Hammerheads close out the regular season this Saturday night at the American Bank Center against the Abilene Ruff Riders. Kickoff Saturday night is set for 7:05pm.
