ODESSA, TX. As Odessa Roughnecks Head Coach Chris Williams scours the country for talent he often doesn't need to look further than his own backyard. "The legacy of football in the Permian Basin creates a goldmine of extraordinary talent to pull from," stated Williams, "We want to give every player an opportunity and this area is unique." This week the Roughnecks are adding three more players signed to the three signed on Tuesday, February 1st, 2005.
Donnie Bishop, 5'11" and 232lbs, is a Fullback from Crane. He played college football at Southwest Baptist and showed excellent skills in last years tryout camp.
Ethan Schrecengost, 6'4" and 280lbs, a lineman, played for Angelo State.
Maurice Jackson, 6'8" and 260lbs, was a former basketball player at the University of the Permian Basin and Odessa College.
