Pittsburgh Xplosion News Release
PITTSBURGH, Jun 19, 2006 - Approximately 25 young men enjoyed the opportunity to earn a spot on the Pittsburgh Xplosion basketball team on Friday June 16 and Saturday June 17 at Club 4 Life in Monroeville.
The players worked out and scrimmaged as Larry Anderson conducted the two days of tryouts for the Xplosion, Pittsburgh's second year American Basketball Association team. Anderson, former basketball coach at Woodland Hills High School and Carnegie Mellon University, ran the workout while Xplosion general manager Freddie Lewis stood on the sideline evaluating the action in front of him.
Out of the 25 that tried out 5-10 players will be asked to come back for a second tryout in August which will also be open to the public, The Xplosion are hoping this to be equally successful.
