ABA salutes O.C., US Army, basketball player
June 19, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. The ABA received an email from O.C. Robinson, U.S. Army. "Hi, my name is O.C. from Robinson, Illinois. I'm in the U.S. Army and I was wondering could I tryout for your team (ABA). I am currently in Iraq right now; also, I'm stationed in Germany where I play for the Post (Intramural) team. If you have this information, could you please respond?
O.C. and all others serving in the military defending our freedom and fighting terrorists. Yes, you most certainly can tryout for an ABA team upon your return or release from military service. And if you have the basketball talent, I am sure that teams would welcome you. All of us deeply appreciate the sacrifices you and your fellow servicemen and women are making. Please contact teams of interest upon your return. ABA Salute supports our military by making donations to various military organizations through its fund-raising. For more information, email jennifer@abasalute.com or visit www.abasalute.com or www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
