Rochester RazorSharks News Release

(Rochester, New York) - The Rochester RazorSharks, defending American Basketball Association champions, will host two weeks of Future Sharks Youth Basketball Camps this summer as Head Coach Rod Baker and RazorSharks players teach the fundamentals of basketball to boys and girls ages 8-17.

The five-day camp will be held at two locations, with Session I at Roberts Wesleyan College from August 14-18 and Session II at Bishop Kearney High School from August 21-25. The full day sessions run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with early and late care available for parents who work from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Under the leadership of Coach Baker, all athletes will receive the best possible instruction to develop them into better basketball players and citizens. The RazorSharks staff will instruct on basic principles such as hard work, working together as a team, learning the skills of the game and having fun.

Fundamentals include offensive skills, passing, defensive skills, rebounding, ball-handling, dribbling, shooting and overall team play. An award ceremony will be held at the last session of each Friday and a full player report card will be given to each athlete. Lunches, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at the camp and coolers will be provided for campers who bring their own lunch.

A one-week session for the Future Sharks Basketball Camp is $200.00 per player, with a $100.00 deposit due with the camp application. Camp applications can be obtained by visiting the RazorSharks web site at www.razorsharks.com or by calling the RazorSharks office at (585) 232-9190.
