
Pittsburgh Penguins recall defenseman Richard Lintner from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Richard Lintner from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced today by General Manager Craig Patrick.
Lintner, 25, has played in six games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording five points (1+4) and two penalty minutes. Lintner has also played in 32 games this season with the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL), recording 26 points (7+19) and 32 penalty minutes.
The 6'4" and 213-pound native of Trencin, Slovakia was acquired by the Penguins on February 10, 2003 along with Mikael Samuelsson, Rico Fata and Joel Bouchard from the New York Rangers in exchange for Alexei Kovalev, Dan LaCouture, Janne Laukkanen and Mike Wilson. Lintner played in ten games this season with the Rangers, scoring one goal. He has played in 93 career NHL games with Nashville and the Rangers, recording 15 points (5+10) and 44 penalty minutes.
The Penguins also today reassigned forwards Milan Kraft and Michal Sivek to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. With the roster moves, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have 22 players on their roster - six defensemen, 14 forwards and two goaltenders.
Kraft, 23, has played in 31 games this season with the Penguins, recording 12 points (7+5) and ten penalty minutes. He was recalled by the Penguins from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on December 12, 2002. Kraft has played in 20 games this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording 18 points (6+12) and eight penalty minutes.
Sivek, 22, has played in 38 games this season with the Penguins, recording six points (3+3) and 14 penalty minutes. He was recalled by the Penguins from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on November 28, 2002. Sivek has played in 20 games this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording 18 points (7+11) and 13 penalty minutes.
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (26-25-5-4, 61 points; Third-place, South Division) host the Binghamton Senators (30-20-7-1, 68 points; Second-place, East Division) tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. at the First Union Arena at Casey Plaza. A limited number of tickets are still available for the game.
