Traverse City Pit Spitters News Release
Traverse City, MI - In a matchup that promised to be a pitcher's duel, Saturday night's contest at Pit Spitters Park saw the home side win a matchup that featured 23 hits and 10 runs. The final score on the evening was 7-3.
The Pit Spitters posted a balance offensive attack on the ballgame. Eight different Pit Spitters batters recorded hits, five of which went for extra bases. The Growlers sent seven batters to the plate, scoring three times behind three hits and three Pit Spitters errors. The Pit Spitters would go on to commit six errors in the ballgame but were able to emerge victorious.
