Hartford, CT - The Portland Pirates will play the middle game of a three game road trip as they look for their first win of the season against the Hartford Wolf Pack. Puck drop is set for 7 pm from the XL Center as the Pirates and Wolf Pack meet for the second time in a week.

The Pirates dropped a 3-2 decision to the Worcester Sharks in their first road game of the 2013-14 season on Sunday. Andy Miele scored twice to lead the Pirates, but Bracken Kearns and Danill Tarasov combined for Worcester's offence to give the Sharks the victory. Both of Kearns' goals came on the power play, the first time that the Pirates have allowed multiple power play goals this season. Mike Lee made 28 saves in his second start of the season in the loss.

Hartford's last game was Saturday in Lewiston against the Pirates at the Colisee, where the Wolf Pack defeated the Pirates 3-2 in the annual Pink in the Rink. Gilbert Brulé scored his first Pirates goal, while Brandon Yip, now with Phoenix, had two assists. Andy Miele his first goal of the season in the loss. Mark Visentin had another great performance, stopping 35 shots in the defeat. Saturday night's game was the annual Pink in the Rink event, sponsored by Central Maine Medical Center, with the Pirates wearing special Pink jerseys and honoring breast cancer survivors, fighters, caretakers, and their families.

Andy Miele has been on a hot streak to start the season, registering a point in each Pirates game, and goals in the last two contests. Miele's hot streak has pushed him into 19th all-time on the Pirates list of career points with 113 points, passing Jason Christie. Miele leads the team with 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists), followed by Brandon Gormley with 4 points.
