Rochester Americans News Release

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the Amerks have partnered with Citizens Bank and YNN on a Saves For Education program, which will include school visits by Amerks players throughout the season and a charitable contribution to Junior Achievement by Citizens Bank at the end of the year.

"This partnership with the Amerks, Junior Achievement, and YNN allows us to put a spotlight on the importance of financial education, starting at a young age," said James P. Gaspo, President, RBS Citizens and Citizens Bank, New York. "Today's students are tomorrow's leaders. Teaching financial responsibility to our young people is an important step in empowering them to their future success."

Citizens Bank colleagues, joined by an Amerks player, will visit one lucky classroom each month to teach a lesson to the kids about the importance of goal-setting, savings, and overall money management. Teachers and parents can visit www.amerks.com and click on the Citizens Bank Saves for Education link to fill out the form to nominate their school for a visit.

In addition, Citizens Bank will make a financial donation to Junior Achievement for every save made by Amerks goaltenders during home games this season. Junior Achievement is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs.

The Amerks' next home game is Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 7:05 p.m. versus the Hamilton Bulldogs. Full-Season, Half-Season, Freedom Packs and 12-Game ticket packages, along with individual game tickets, for the 2013-14 season are now on sale. For more information, visit www.amerks.com or call 1-855-GO-AMERKS.
