Rockford IceHogs News Release

Rockford, Ill.- Rockford IceHogs forward Pat Mullane is helping in the fight against breast cancer via social media by pledging to donate money to breast cancer research for every new follower he receives from now until Saturday's "Pink in the Rink" night.

On Wednesday, Mullane offered to donate $0.50 for every new follower he receives on Twitter until Saturday's game, up to $1,000.

The IceHogs have agreed to match Mullane's donation for breast cancer research and awareness to the charity of his choosing. The IceHogs fully support Mullane's efforts in helping fight cancer and want your help as well.

Local companies and individuals are encouraged to join in on the fight against breast cancer as well and can match Mullane's donation.

To help this great cause, make sure to follow Mullane on Twitter at @PMullane11, and by using the hashtag #MakeMulliePay to spread the word. For more information on how to match Mullane's donation call the IceHogs front office to speak to Mike Peck or Nate Haeni at (815) 986-6465.
