Eddie Pasquale made 36 saves, Jerome Samson netted two goals, and John Albert scored the game-winning tally shorthanded, as the IceCaps downed the league-leading Monarchs Friday night at Mile One Centre. Jason Jaffray had the other goal for St. John's, which beat the Monarchs for the fourth time this season in six tries. Will O'Neill added two assists for St. John's. Nick Deslauriers had the lone tally for Manchester, and Jean-Francois Berube turned aside 27 shots in taking the loss.

Tyler Toffoli scored a hat-trick and added an assist and Jean-Francois Berube made 28 saves to earn the shutout, as the Monarchs blanked the IceCaps Saturday night at Mile One Centre. Jordan Weal also turned in a four-point performance for the Monarchs, picking up a goal and three helpers, while Andy Andreoff added a goal and two assists. Vincent LoVerde scored the other goal for the Monarchs. Eddie Pasquale made 28 saves in a losing effort.

Michael Hutchinson - turning in a 26-save shutout performance in his first game at home - backstopped the IceCaps to the win over the Monarchs Monday night at Mile One Centre. Blair Riley and Andrew Gordon scored the goals for St. John's, which took two-of-three from Manchester with the victory.
All-Star Classic Captains:. Thomas Steen and Nathan Dempsey will serve as the honorary captains for the 2014 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Assante Wealth Management, to be held February 11-12 in St. John's between a team of AHL all- stars and the Swedish Hockey League's FÃÆÃ¤rjestad BK. Each year, the All-Star Classic honorary captains join the participating teams in the locker room and on the benches during the Skills Competition and All-Star Game, and are recognized for their careers at the annual AHL Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Ceremony. All-Star Classic Tickets: A limited number of tickets remain available for the 2014 AHL All-Star Classic.
