Pink In The Rink Online Auction Now Underway In Support Of Juravinski Cancer Centre

HAMILTON, ONT. - The Bulldogs Foundation announced today details of an online auction of 'Pink in the Rink' game-used, autographed jerseys and sticks in support of Juravinski Cancer Centre. The auction - powered by Tangle Media - is live now at www.bulldogsauction.com .

Items for the Pink in the Rink charity auction include:

Game-worn and game-ready commemorative Bulldogs Pink in the Rink jerseys from the upcoming Friday, Feb. 13 game versus the Toronto Marlies

Bulldogs players' game-used autographed sticks with pink tape from the game

2014-15 team-autographed Pink in the Rink limited edition commemorative sticks

The auction will run until Monday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. If last-second bids are being submitted, the closing time will be extended by two minutes per bid.

Anyone wishing to participate in the Bulldogs Foundation online auction must first obtain a username and password to www.bulldogsauction.com to use when bidding. (Note: this procedure only needs to be completed once and you must provide credit card information - VISA, MasterCard or American Express.)

Bidders must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the auction. All bids must be placed electronically on the website which can also be accessed via your mobile device. Each increase in bidding must meet or exceed the minimum bid increment of $5. Bidders are expected to honour all winning bids.

The Hamilton Bulldogs' annual Pink in the Rink Night - sponsored by Shoppers Drug Mart - is set for Friday, Feb. 13, when the 'Dogs will host the Toronto Marlies at FirstOntario Centre at 7:30 p.m. in the final edition of the American Hockey League's 'Battle of Ontario' to be played in Hamilton this season. FirstOntario Centre will be dressed for the occasion, with all rinkboard signage turned pink along with several elements of the game-day presentation. In addition to the auction items, proceeds from other in-game fundraisers at the Foundation booth, including Pink in the Rink Mystery Pucks, will also go to the Juravinski Cancer Centre.

Tickets for the game are available for just $12 at 50 Hamilton and surrounding-area Shoppers Drug Mart locations or at Juravinski Cancer Centre, with $2 from each ticket sold at these locations to be donated to the Centre. A Bulldogs sales representative will be on site with tickets available at Juravinski Hospital & Cancer Centre on Tuesday, Feb. 10 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Cancer Centre and from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the hospital.

The Bulldogs Foundation was established in 2007. The mission of the Foundation is to enrich the lives of children and youth in the Greater Hamilton Area through cash donations, gifts in kind and the assignment of tickets. By doing so, the Foundation aims to promote the creativity of interactive programs involving education, physical fitness and personal well-being. The main purpose of the Foundation is to strengthen and broaden the base of the Hamilton Bulldogs community support by providing funds to non-profit community groups and by supporting educational and community programs.
