Brampton Steelheads News Release
MISSISSAUGA, ON - The Steelheads have joined forces with the Pinball Clemons Foundation to host the inaugural Pinball Clemons Game at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre on Sunday, December 16th.
The Mississauga Steelheads will don specialty football-themed jerseys when they play host to the Sudbury Wolves on Sunday afternoon. The jerseys feature a Pinball Clemons Foundation patch on the shoulder and will be auctioned off online following the game with 100% of proceeds being donated to the Foundation.
Mike 'Pinball' Clemons will be in attendance on Sunday afternoon to take part in the ceremonial puck drop and sign autographs for fans who come out to support the cause.
Mike 'Pinball' Clemons and his wife Diane speak about what these proceeds will mean to their efforts, "Every kid deserves the best. Beautiful ideals, but parity isn't plausible; in life there is no level playing field. It is this seemingly harsh, honest reality that gives birth to kindness, generosity and hope! We continue to fund programs that help marginalized youth grow, achieve, get better, be better and envision a better life, a better future and a superior tomorrow. Every youth is worth it!"
Furthermore, the Pinball Clemons Foundation's vision is to empower youth through education by bringing them from the margins to the mainstream. They invest in the best charities that provide both wrap-around and holistic approaches to local and international sustainability through education. They are making the invisible, visible...powerful, independent and strong! The ultimate goal is not a diploma or degree - Mike and Diane want to see youth gainfully employed in careers they desire.
In addition to the profits from the jersey auction, all proceeds from the 50/50 draw on Sunday afternoon will be donated back to the Pinball Clemons Foundation.
