
Phoenix Mercury Waives Three Players

PHOENIX - The Phoenix Mercury has waived 6-2 forward Amanda Johnson (Oregon '12), 6-1 forward Chastity Reed (Arkansas Little Rock '11) and 5-5 guard Dymond Simon (Arizona State '11) the club announced today. The roster now stands at 13 players and has to be trimmed to 11 by Thursday.
The Mercury tips off the regular season on Sunday in Minnesota against the defending champion Lynx. Tipoff is slated for 9:30 a.m. PT and will be broadcast on ABC. The Mercury makes its home debut on May 26 when it hosts Candace Parker and the Los Angeles Sparks at 7 p.m.
