UNCASVILLE, Conn. (May 16, 2012) - The Connecticut Sun announced today that it has waived Sidney Spencer.
The Sun now have the WNBA minimum of 11 players on their roster.
Spencer was signed by the Sun on February 28, 2012. She averaged 5.3 points and 2.7 rebounds in three preseason games for Connecticut. The 6-foot-3 forward had 10 points and four rebounds against New York on May 7th, six points and two rebounds against Minnesota on May 10th and two rebounds and one steal at Washington on May 14th .
The Sun will open their 10th regular season on May 19th at New York, and will return home to host the Liberty the next day at Mohegan Sun Arena at 5 p.m. For more information on the Connecticut Sun, visit www.connecticutsun.com .
